Folks! We have an amazing show on at present, its deffo worth coming down to check out, we've got over 100 works from over 30 artists! Not only that but all of the work is super affordable, so you can grab yourself a treat or get some of your Christmas pressies sorted. All work is between £25-£100. IOTA x Team Recoat in Inverness

At the start of Dec 2011, Team Recoat were invited by IOTA to go to Inverness to paint a series of murals and to paint a collection of donated cars from the local community. You can see all the photos here. This project was part of Sublime at Rose Street Car Park. All of the artwork created was on the theme of Purgatory. Team members in attendance- Syrkus, Elph, Death Rattles, FiST, Kirsty Whiten, Mark Lyken and Rue Five.
Big thanks to Susan and Kirsten at IOTA for all their hard work making it happen.

Team Recoat on tour to Inverness

We're off again! Team Recoat are heading up to Inverness to work with IOTA on a crazy few days of activity for the Sublime project. We're painting on the walls and on cars at the Rose Street Multi-storey car park, Elph is running a free workshop at IG:LU on Thurs evening followed by a free talk by artist, Kirsty Whiten and Recoat manager, Amy Whiten aswell as an exhibition of the sought after Team Recoat limited edition screen prints. On Friday the painting in the car park will continue and on Sat Kirsty Whiten, Mark Lyken, Syrkus and Death Rattles will be running more free workshops. Go sign up...

Wow, the show is so cool, so much great work, and all for shockingly affordable prices, all work is priced between £25-£100 and there are even some wee things for less than £25!! We open tonight 7-10pm, really hope you can make it. If not we're running it till the 23rd Dec 12-6pm Tues to Sun.

Nov 25 - 27 : Jonnie Common Sound Installation
Jonnie Common has worked with Zero Waste Design to produce an interactive sound installation at MONO that lets users mix the elements of his debut album with the added potential for lo-fi surround sound to be achieved.
If that’s not all, an exhibition by illustrator David Galletly will also be shown over the weekend featuring drawings and murals related to ‘Master Of None’.

Last Thursday we helped organise the Glasgow Red Bull Canvas Cooler event at SWG3. Loads of artists we exhibit took part and each created a one-off piece of art on a fridge for exclusive venues across Scotland. You can read more about here. Big thanks to Red Bull for involving us and for all the drinks that wrote-off Friday for us!

RAMAGGEDON
The Church of Ram was formed in the summer of 2009. It is a studio nestling between a complex of Baptist churches in the heart of Dalston, East London. It comprises of 9 artists, photographers, designers, textile designers, bike builders, leather workers and furry costume creators.....
Ramaggedon is an exhibition of some collaborative work done over the last year, and some stuff they had lying around the studio.... Including Paintings, Drawings, Photographs, Prints, Leather work, Fabric sculpture and some shiny metallic things....

Wow, what a week we've had with the amazing and inspiring, Ema. She has created the most beautiful paintings to exhibit here at Recoat, aswell as painting the entire gallery space, painting a massive mural down at Kelvinbridge and another over at Boardwise on Dumbarton Road. She has worked so hard, and it all looks amazing. Make sure to pop down before the 9th Oct to see the show which includes a mixture of originals, prints and sculptures. You can buy any of the remaining work here and can view all of the photos of the murals, opening, artwork and exhibition here.
