Fintan Magee- Partick- West

Fintan Magee was the first arrival for our In Common project and our Australian representative. He painted an incredible piece on a Partick Housing Association building at 18 Purdon Street. The area has just set up a community garden and the flowers at the base of the piece are a link to that and the house and boat are symbols of his Brisbane home. Fintan was a great hit with the people who live there and you can see him getting photos taken with some of his new fans!

In Common was a Festival 2014 project to celebrate the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow. 5 murals were painted on the theme of 'Identity' across the city in July 2014. Here is a map to find all of the sites.

Thankyou to Partick Housing Association for accommodating us and to all the local people who made us feel welcome.

Final shots of mural by the talented Mateusz Sleczka.
